March to June. Four Months of Trading.
Tauntaun was busy. Over 500 signals evaluated, dozens of trades opened and closed, an entire optimization engine running daily. Predictive weighting. Regime filters. Conviction-based stops. A shadow book tracking every call. The works.
Net result on all those decisions: -$2,047. The positions it actively picked and managed lost money.
July 4, 2026. Lights Out.
Tauntaun went to sleep and stayed that way for 33 days. No trades. No signals. No decisions. Just 16 positions sitting there, untouched.
While it slept, HACK gained $671. XLV gained $557. USO gained $564.

The Uncomfortable Math
Add it up:
Four months of active trading: -$2,047
33 days of doing absolutely nothing: +$3,585
Net result: +$1,538
We started at $100K, we're at $101,538. But the active trading didn't get us there. The nap did. Every decision the system made cost money. The only thing that worked was leaving things alone.
Onward
Tauntaun is awake again. Signals flowing, data publishing, site updating. Whether that's a good thing remains to be seen. The best 33 days in its history were the ones where it was unconscious. We'll see if waking it up was a mistake.
Learning in public. Onward.
